As an Amazon Associate, Clareo Health (DermaWise) earns from qualifying purchases. Our product recommendations are selected by our team based on published evidence and dermatological best practice — never based on commission rates.
1. Amazon Associates Program
DermaWise is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon properties — including Amazon.com, Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.de, Amazon.fr, Amazon.it, Amazon.es, and Amazon.com.tr.
When you click on an Amazon link from our site and make a qualifying purchase, we may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. These commissions help fund the ongoing research, medical review, and development of the DermaWise platform.
2. How It Works
Each personalized routine on DermaWise includes optional “Where to buy” product suggestions, organized into three tiers — Best Fit, Premium, and Budget. These links are tagged with our Amazon Associates affiliate identifier so that Amazon can attribute purchases to our site.
We automatically route you to the Amazon storefront for your country (US, UK, DE, FR, IT, ES, or TR) so the product page opens in your local currency, with local shipping and warranty terms. If a product is not available in your region, we gracefully fall back to an Amazon search result.
Affiliate links are marked with the rel="sponsored" attribute as required by FTC and Google guidelines for paid relationships.
3. Our Commitment
Recommendations are based on evidence, not commissions. Our editorial team and medical reviewer select products independently of any commercial arrangement. We do not accept payment from brands or manufacturers in exchange for inclusion in any tier — and we do not allow brands to influence which products appear or how they are described.
If a more effective, more affordable, or more evidence-supported product is launched that does not pay an affiliate commission, it will still be the recommendation we make. Where appropriate, we will note that no affiliate link is available.
Affiliate revenue does not influence the algorithmic recommendations themselves. The DermaWise algorithm is built from peer-reviewed dermatological research and clinical guidelines — it has no awareness of commission rates.
4. Review Process
Every product in our curated catalog is selected through a three-step review:
- Ingredient analysis — formulation reviewed against current evidence (concentration, vehicle, supporting actives).
- Skin-type compatibility— verified appropriate for the skin types and concerns it's shown for.
- Medical reviewer sign-off — Dr. Esra Ata, MD reviews the catalog periodically to ensure recommendations align with current dermatological best practice and safety standards.
Products are re-reviewed at least quarterly. If a formulation changes, a manufacturer reformulates without notice, or new evidence emerges, items are removed or replaced.
